The statement issued by the embassy had that the 3rd round of presidential and city councils elections in Afghanistan were manifestations of Afghan public will and role in deciding their own destiny. It also congratulated the ‘success in holding elections’ to Afghan people, government, and elections authorities.
‘Despite the dangers threatening the ballots, Afghans went courageously to vote and this would certainly bring forth national solidarity,” the statement said.
