The ice-statue race attracted thousands of tourists to Borujen, Chaghakhor rural district in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.
The visitors came from other provinces such as Isfahan, Tehran, Khuzestan and Kerman to observe the race closely.
The contenders designed and shave out of ice statues in different shapes. Statues were shining under the sun.
There was even an ice statue of Rostam, Iranian legendary figure immortalized in Ferdowsi’s Epic of Kings, fighting the enemies.
Ice statues of men on horseback fighting the enemies attracted the eyes.
There were also ice statues featuring a country family along with Iran Sacred Defense (a term used by Iranians for 8 years of war with Iraq) warriors.
Art students of all around Iran participated in the race and illustrated their arts to the visitors.
