Out of 92 airplanes, 83 are owned by government and the rest are leased, he added.
Out of the existing airplanes, 21 are for short distance flights, 47 for medium distance flights, and 24 long distance flights. The total capacity of the fleet is 14,891 seats of which 61 percent are governmental and the rest for the private sector.
The average life of the air fleet is 16 years. Some 45 percent of the fleet is aged between 15-30 years, 57 percent between 5-15 years, and two percent under two years.
During the last year, over 8.4 million passengers traveled for local destinations and some 2.93 passengers traveled for international destinations.
