TEHRAN, Jan. 7 (MNA) – Iran’s deputy-FM for EU and North America has said British nonresident Charge d'affaires will visit Tehran.

Majid Takht Ravachi said Mr. Mr Ajay Sharma would visit Tehran after Jack Straw’s visit. “According to a memorandum of understanding signed with the Britain, we will gradually lead the relations further.

I believe we cannot deny the past events; however, we should eye the future, and in our foreign policy framework, based on mutual respect and equal standing see the process,” he added.

“We need time to achieve step-by-step improvement of the relations with the Britain. Thus, now setting a specific date when we open embassies, which is in the agenda by both countries; exchanges would significantly help the process,” Takht Ravanchi asserted.
