TEHRAN, Dec. 3 (MNA) – Sistan and Baluchistan Province deputy-governor for political and security affairs has said a border patrol police has been killed during attack to a border post.

Rajabali Sheikhzadeh told Mehr News that during an exchange of fire between Iran’s border police and armed terrorist groups in Saravan borders on Monday a border patrol solider, in-duty soldier Ahmad Karbandi, was martyred and the terrorists escaped to Pakistan. 6 other soldiers were also wounded.

“About 17:00 the border post 167 in Saravan borders with Pakistan was target of shootings and RPG by the terrorists from inside Pakistan, to which our border police and IRGC border post responded with heavy fires, which forced terrorists to retreat and escape,” told Sheikhzadeh.

“The wounded border police staffs are not hospitalized and their general health is in normal conditions,” he added. The terrorist group Jaish al-Adl has issued statement where it has taken responsibility of the attack.
