TEHRAN, Nov. 29 (MNA) – At least 8 people have been killed and 65 others injured so far due to an earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale hit Iran’s southern city of Bushehr Province on Thursday.

Mehr News reported that this strong earthquake was followed by twenty one aftershocks, the strongest one measured 3.8 on Richter scale.

Some other shakes have also been recorded in other southern cities of Iran but no damage has been reported.

Iran is located on seismic fault lines and is likely to earthquakes. It experiences at least one slight earthquake every day on average.
