The Oxford Research Group found that 11,420 children have been killed since the war began, mostly in explosions. The report also counts more than 1,000 children either executed or killed by snipers, while about 112 children, including infants, were tortured before death.
The report draws its data from smaller Syrian organizations that have been collecting data from March 2011 to August 2013.
The U.N. reported four months ago at least 6,500 children had been killed since the war began.
