Remembering shooting down of IR655 by US navy
TEHRAN, Jul. 02 (MNA) – On July 3, 1988, 290 people were killed in a US missile attack on an Iranian passenger flight. The US never took any responsibility for the attack, called it a justifiable self-defense, and went so far as to award all the men of the USS Vincennes combat-action ribbons. The world may have forgotten about that huge loss, but Iranians never will.
