TEHRAN, Oct. 9 (MNA) -- Winners of the 16th edition of the Isfahan International Theater Festival for Children and Young Adults were announced in a ceremony held on Thursday.

Veteran stage director and actor Hassan Dadshekar was honored at the beginning of the ceremony and afterwards, the winners selected from the two national and international sections were announced.

 

In the national section, Amir Mashhadi-Abbas won the best stage designer award for the play “Who Eats the Mouse?”.

 

Musician Ali Ashrafi Khorasani won the best music award for “The Sun of Hassanak”.

 

The best actress award went to Mona Beigi for playing the role of a scarecrow in “Life Is Too Short”.

 

The best screenplay award went to Omid Niaz for the play “Cinderella in Dead-end”.

 

The awards from the international section were also handed out to winners in different sections.

 

The jury of the international section award went to “Dr. Uvio” written by Barbel Mayer.

 

Best actress and actor awards went to Iranians Aida Sadeqi and Rasul Naqavi for “Great Hunting”.

 

Director Shahram Karami also won the best director award for “Great Hunting”.

 

The Brazilian entry “Some Stories by Rubbish” written by Hector Lopez Jirando won the jury special award.

 

The festival grand prize also went to “Plastic Flowerbeds” written and directed by Salvatore Tramasser from Italy.

 

The festival ran from October 4 to 8 in Isfahan.
