Funeral ceremony held for two martyrs of Chabahar terror attack

TEHRAN, Dec. 07 (MNA) – The funeral procession for the two policemen, who were martyred on Thu. as a result of suicide terrorist attack on the police headquarters in Chabahar, southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, was held on Fri. Dec. 7 in the presence of Culture Minister Seyed Abbas Salehi, Ahmad-Ali Mohebati Governor General of Sistan and Baluchestan province, Brigadier General Mohammad Marani Commander of IRGC Quds Force, military commanders, police forces and various walks of Shia and Sunni people of the city.

A terrorist group named Ansar Al-Furqan claimed the responsibility for the deadly attack.

This terrorist suicide blast in Iran’s southeastern port Chabahar near the Pakistani border left at least two people dead and over 30 others injured.

According to early reports, explosion and shooting were heard in Iran’s southeastern port Chabahar near the Pakistani border on Thursday morning, at 9:30 AM.

The explosion was caused by a car bomb going off in front of the Police Headquarters in Chabahar, Sistan and Baluchestan province.

Casualties have been reported in the blast, with two confirmed dead and a number of pedestrians and shop owners injured.
