Iran’s Greco-Roman wrestlers snatched 4 medals at Cadet World C’ships

TEHRAN, Jul. 08 (MNA) – Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers gained one gold, one silver and two bronze medals at 2018 Cadet World Championships held in Zagreb, Croatia.

Amirhossein Khounsari at 55 kg overpowered Giorgi Pertaia from Georgia in the final and win the gold medal.

At 48 kg, Sajjad Javid Abbaspour reached the final but couldn’t defeat Uzbek wrestler Arbor Atabaev and received the silver medal.

Hossein Ghasemi and Mohammad Aziz Naghousi gained 2 bronze medals at 65 kg and 80 kg respectively.

Wrestling matches of the remaining 5 weights – including 45, 51, 60, 71 and 92 kg – will be held on the final day of the competitions, June 8.

On July 4, Iranian freestyle wrestlers won the title of the same competitions.
