Araghchi underscored that Trump would form an international consensus against in the absence of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action; “in the current situation, however, the global opinion is against Trump who has therefore no choice but to renew the JCPOA unless he wants Iran out of the international agreement.”.

“Should Trump want to nix the deal, he will suffer from the upcoming costs,” highlighted Iran’s deputy FM calling for great caution in order to prevent all possible detriments to the country in any case whatsoever.

He said one major benefit brought about by the nuclear deal pertained to the country’s oil and gas industry saying “presently, oil contracts worth 80 billion dollars are being negotiated with the only bottleneck being lack of national consensus over the new model of contracts dubbed Iranian Petroleum Contracts (IPCs).”
