The delegation, comprising top-ranking Russian officials, will hold talks with Iranian partners in banking, transport, customs, law, and marketing during a conference to be held in Tehran, said Negar Kabiri, head of the conference board of directors.
Kabiri emphasized the need for investment to provide grounds for conducting direct trade with Russia which leads to elimination of middlemen; “Iranian producers and traders will be able to gain more profitability from the Russian market by building confidence in and learning more about Russian buyers.”
“The key to success in the Russian market is to enlarge and strengthen small companies by forming a consortium,” she added.
The official enumerated a number of targets pursued during the upcoming visit including familiarity with Russia’s major buyers and importers and knowhow of identifying and authenticating them as well as providing credible and effective routes for entrance of Iranian firms to the Eurasian country’s market.
Kabiri went on to note that proper opportunities have been created to address a number of infrastructure difficulties in trade with Russia; “meanwhile, in view of the measures taken in facilitating foreign exchange and establishing Iran’s commercial base in Russia, a dramatic growth is expected to be observed in presence of Iranian businessmen in the friend country.”
She said the summit will also hold specialized trade sessions to deal with executive and practical issues within specialized commissions attended by major manufacturers of the two states.
“The Iranian side will be informed of Russian standards and capacities during business meetings and expert consultation in addition to introducing their products to Russian buyers without any intermediary,” underlined Negar Karimi.
She highlighted that several large Russian investors are also participating in the event in order to learn about existing and appropriate grounds in Iran; “those interested in direct negotiations with Russian businessmen are able to take advantage of provided opportunities on the sidelines of the conference," she continued.
Accordingly, the largest trade event aimed at developing non-oil exports in line with Resistance Economy policies will be held from August 29-31 in Tehran.
The meeting, which will be held in format of Iran-Russia trade conference, is scheduled to investigate challenges to development of trade relations as well as ways to tackle them.
